James Jean

James Jean is a Taiwanese-American artist primarily known for his illustrations and paintings. Born in 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan, he immigrated to the United States with his family and grew up in New Jersey. Jean studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and began his professional career as a cover artist for DC Comics.

Jean’s work is highly detailed and surreal, often featuring elements of nature and the human form. He has created a wide range of art, including album covers, comic book covers, magazine covers, advertisements, and fine art pieces. In 2008, he received the prestigious Grand Prix award at the Angouleme International Comics Festival in France.

Jean’s work has been exhibited around the world, and he has collaborated with numerous brands and companies, including Prada, Nike, and Coca-Cola. He has also published several art books, including REBUS and XOXO: Hugs and Kisses. Today, he continues to create artwork that blends fantasy and reality, earning him a dedicated following of fans and collectors.
